A delightful stay and made...

Liked: Real friendly welcome and well laid out huge airy room. A real German efficiently run hotel with a high standard of customer care and service. Quality fixtures and fittings. Great WiFi connectivity. The continental breakfast was delicious and the helpful and friendly lady on duty even produced some home made cake. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as Wednesday and Thursday is a rest day but really enjoyed eating at the Zorba Greek restaurant close by, well within walking distance. Don’t be put off with the outside areas which is typically Ruhr Pot and looks a bit industrial in parts, as inside is very pleasing. Very dog friendly and our beagle was allowed to join us for breakfast. In fact the nice lady saw me sitting alone and enquired where was my wife. I mentioned we were taking turns looking after the dog, and in a good humorous manner I was ordered to fetch my wife and dog to join me for breakfast

Liked: Great value for the money. Contactless check in was very convenient (though booking didn’t alert me of the messages from the hotel, so at first I didn’t know how to enter). Lots of space to eat breakfast in peace. Spacious room. Nice little neighborhood.
Disliked: Breakfast had little options and eggs were always out, though you can’t really complain when that good of a price already includes breakfast. TV turned itself on on full volume at midnight both nights, really scared me for a second in the first night.
