Hôtel Restaurant Athena Spa

Passable

Liked: Very nice spa and sauna and tram connection to the city.Rooms were spacious and clean.
Disliked: Unfortunately my wife got hypoglycemia whilst waiting around for our pre-booked hotel dinner at the non-busy restaurant. Without any explanation our family stayed seated for almost two hours starving and waiting quietly and patiently while watching everyone else get served. No explanation came from the waiting staff even when we asked and by this stage it was too late to try to find food somewhere else. I have never experienced such discrimination before and I am sorry that our kids felt it too-- they left refusing their desserts (even though my wife had to stay for hers because of her splitting headache).Just awful. And we still don't understand it. It can't all possibly be something as common as prejudice??Such a shame because the reception staff on the other hand were all very nice and helpful.

Liked: The Spa facilities were really nice and good value for money. The hotel and facilities were clean and the rooms were a good size.
Disliked: The location is poor with little to nothing around. The food is very limited with no Vegan options. The air conditioning wasn't reliable and when it did work it was extremely noisy and woke you up. Fans were not supplied and I had to threaten to go out and buy my own for them to find and provide me one.

Liked: Reception very helpful, above and beyond to help with parking. Restaurant waiter James an absolute credit to the company Manager material in the making.
