Skipton is a delightful traditional market town and is known as the Gateway to the Dales. Dine in the canal-side Baby Swan Restaurant and enjoy the wonderful views. Watch the colorful narrow boats drift by sometimes with equally colorful characters on board! Overall very enjoyable stay just...

Liked: Excellent, all fresh plenty of choice
Disliked: Evening meal lacked choice, and some items badly cooked Very poor choice for myself as I am gluten intolerant

Canalside location.

Liked: Nice hotel food delicious. Main areas of hotel were nicely decorated. Lovely location at side of canal. Plenty of parking.
Disliked: Room old and needed updating also quite cold. Swimming pool area the same.

Overpriced for quality of room

Liked: Great location, rooftop bar area and restaurant overlooking the canal.
Disliked: Room was small and hard to find. The weather was very warm but the radiator was on, and impossible to turn off. We had to sleep with the window open as it was so hot, which meant it was noisy. Had 2 small glasses of wine at the bar- £17.50!

Very pleased , will stay...

Liked: The facilities in the room were laid out really well . The lounge area was comfortable with good views despite overlooking the main road in to Skipton.The choices at breakfast were wide ranging and the quality of the food was marvellous.
Disliked: The canal side position
