Good value in the heart...
Liked: Due to a delayed flight, we arrived outside of the requested check-in period (3-8pm), but we kept in touch with the staff via Booking.com, and they were very gracious and stayed until we arrived (almost 9:45pm). The hotel is on the second floor of a gorgeous old building right in the heart of Florence, and is a close walk to everything. Our room was very quiet and clean (with a beautiful fresco on the ceiling), and the air-conditioner worked well enough that we didn't suffer during the heat wave. The staff was also happy to order us a regular taxi to get to the airport (which arrived in 5 minutes). We asked them how much we should expect to pay, and the taxi bill was within a few euros of their estimated amount (€34, which was much better value than a private driver!)A tip for those who are coming from the airport; when we arrived, there wasn't a single taxi at the airport, and it was impossible to call one via Uber (it would not connect us to a driver). There was also a lineup of about 100 people waiting for a taxi. It would have taken us all night! Either pre-arrange for a taxi to pick you up, OR, you can also take the tram. Just follow the instructions provided by the hotel on this site. It was very easy, and I think it cost us €3.50 for two people.
Disliked: The room (and bathroom) was a bit small, but that is to be expected in Florence.

Perfect location, clean and tidy
Liked: The location was perfect, step outside and everything is there. The team are amazing and so helpful. Even though you were right there the room was nice and quiet.

Good night rest in a...
Liked: Great location. Wonderful night manager who was warm and welcoming. The other staff were also kind. The roomwas simple but comfortable. We were there for a night after a long flight and plans to move on early so no plans to hang out at the hotel which was just as well since there were no notable facilities beyond the room.
Disliked: Didn’t like is a strong word but travellers should be aware that the building is a beautiful old mansion in a narrow street and has a tiny elevator up a flight of steps so anyone with disabilities or heavy luggage will find it a struggle. It’s not a bargain but then again nothing in Florence is in late June.

Great location right in the...
Liked: Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Located right in the city center so we were able to enjoy night walks around Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore when it's not crowded. If you open windows it will get noisy but with air conditioner it was very pleasant.

For a 3 star hotel,...
Liked: The location and its closeness to key squares and restaurants with eating places virtually across the laneway from the front door.
Disliked: The servicing was ok, we had to mop up water from the shower each morning and afternoon, the only soap provided was for hand washing, nothing for shower. It was a good 10 steps to take luggage up to the lift to access the room. There seemed to be dining tables outside the rooms but no breakfast or other meals were on offer. There seemed to be a bar and coffee machine near the reception but not for guest use it would seem.

Perfect Place in the Old...
Liked: Fantastic location. Very helpful and friendly Concierge. Spectacular room with lots of space and storage. Bathroom was largest and most elegant of the many stays we had in Italy over three weeks. Shower had body sprays and was very large by European standards. Great sleeping in a very quiet and dark room with excellent A/C. Charm of an historic house converted to a boutique hotel.
Disliked: There is no lobby at the street level and a flight of stairs to climb before getting the lift to the reception. We knew about this before making our reservation, so it was not a big negative for us. We travel lightly and take the stairs when possible anyway, but this might be a physical and logistical challenge if you have heavy bags and don't do well with stairs.
