An unforgettable and wonderful stay...

Liked: Amazing location, easy to get around the city, breakfast was delicious, rooms were nice
Disliked: We lost the wifi, television, and phone in our room due to some strange technical issue that could not be fixed. Our entire trip was to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday with her seeing the Tour de France live for the first time in her life and in Paris for the first time in her 88 years. The housekeeping manager came to our room and was very kind in trying to help us as she understood that the experience would not be the same if we could not follow the race on television. She told me if I went to the front desk that they will provide us another comparable room since we paid for a corner junior suite to see the riders come through the tunnel on to Rue de Rivoli. When I did this, at first, the front desk said it was not possible and then came up to the room to check for himself. He then said we could just enjoy looking out the window and wait for the riders to come. This was not satisfactory but he said there was no option. Fortunately, he called back and offered for us to see the race with the television from another room with a similar view. We really appreciated this. He also offered that my 88 year old mother and her 86 year old sister could stay in that room but they were not comfortable as it would have meant they would be far away from my husband and I (and they do not speak French or English), plus they had all their things unpacked so it would have been a big inconvenience to move. Finally it could work out but it required effort for me to get this all sorted.
