What is very disappointing for...

Liked: Good location. Juice and coffee station free, nice front desk and cleaning staff
Disliked: The room had only one Small window that just pointed to like an area in the middle of the building not to outside directly so since I am claustrophobic, it was very dark and also the room was very small just enough room for the bed, the dresser and the little table beside it with a hallway that goes to the bathroom and the door that was very very tiny so if you or someone just looking to put your stuff there and not sit there at all, you’re fine, but if you’re looking to spend any time in the room and you don’t like this type then it’s not going to be good for you. I did not want to be there at all After sitting in the room for 20 minutes and originally because I had been in town for two weeks I really wanted to just relax have a bath and yes this did not happen however, on my part, I did not do any thorough research into the property And it could be an old building. I just don’t want to penalize them for having such small rooms. Maybe it Accommodates other peoples needs

Liked: very very close proximity to nearby clubs, bars all walking distance
Disliked: could smell nicer in the rooms

A no frills kind of...

Liked: We didn't expect much because of the other reviews, and because of the general shabbiness of the carpet and furniture, but the entire experience was surprisingly...pretty good! The location is a busy, tourist oriented street with lots of interesting things, but also loud clubs. The room itself was clean enough, even if the carpet in the hallways looked dirty. The bed was comfortable. Because of the location of our room away from the street- it was quiet. Our room had central AC (that we could not control) that worked well, despite sweltering heat outside and there was plenty of hot water in the shower and great water pressure. Even the refrigerator worked well and the coffee in the lobby was pretty good. We had low expectations, and were pleasantly surprised!
Disliked: The general appearance is shabby. The carpet is worn to nothing, in fact my partner got a splinter from walking barefoot on the carpet. All the furniture is shabby. The blankets had cigarette burn holes. It would be nice for a couple to get 4 pillows instead of 2. My pillow was worn to nothing and my partner is used to sleeping elevated. When we asked for an extra pillow, they looked, but could not find any. But it was nice that they looked.The room was very small.

Disappointing

Disliked: Shower curtain covered in mold. No hot water or plug for bathtub.
