Great hotel , shame about...

Liked: Great location Rooftop Bar Taps on each floor for sparkling and tap water
Disliked: Unfriendly staff

Great location, friendly staff, clean...

Liked: Great location on fairly quiet street but still in heart of the city. Minutes from tonnes of big brand shops. Great rooftop terrace. Opposite metro station and 2 mins from airport buses (separate buses for T1 & T2!). Took bedroom on 5th floor 504 with balcony and didn’t notice street noise much, compared with what other people have been saying. Great breakfast until 11am, friendly staff and free welcome cocktail was a nice touch. Rooms a lot bigger in real life. Lots of hanging and drawer space for clothing and large shower room.
Disliked: Realised half way through breakfast on day 1 that others around me had a completely different breakfast with options such as poached eggs and avocado on toast. Turns out that there was a separate menu that you then had to ask for and order from. Having a menu on each table would help a lot and be a pretty simple fix. Didn’t really understand why it was a restricted thing that you had to request.The welcome cocktail was only valid on ground floor bar but the rooftop bar has all the nice views so that was kind of annoying. The voucher was also restricted to one kind of cocktail. For the total money spent on the hotel stay, it surely isn’t much money to make it open to any cocktail requested by a guest. And allowing it to be ordered at the bar on the top floor then can encourage people to discover the restaurant and the city views as well, offering the chance for cross-sell and more revenue. I also thought breakfast would have been served on the rooftop terrace but unfortunately not. It’s downstairs in a dining/courtyard area but I think it would be a nice touch to be able to have breakfast overlooking the city, especially when arriving somewhere for the first time. The shower wasn’t set up quite right and seemed to switch between hot and cold specifically on middle setting instead of being an average heat. Adjusting it a bit hotter seemed to fix that issue. Weird drain smell in mornings which is more a general Barcelona issue I guess…

Liked: The location and the roof top
Disliked: Hotel needs a refresh. 25 min before breakfast ended there was nothing left to eat. Not even clean mugs for the coffee. One of the two coffee machines was broken. They wouldn’t even top up the cucumber or the cheese even though they attempted to charge for breakfast. Hotel towels were too used actually one had a big hole. The hotel has a nice rooftop which gets busy thus lift is extensively used and eventually one of the two lifts broke down and wasn’t repaired for a full day. Overall NOT value for money.

Liked: Location was great. Reception and door staff were helpful. Bar and restaurant staff.....OK
Disliked: The courtesy light in the bathroom didn't work even though we reported it. The shower ran hot and cold during an individual shower. The Terrace Bar was a complete disaster as you could not hear yourself think as the so called "music" was too loud.

Gorgeous boutique hotel right in...

Liked: What a gorgeous little boutique hotel! Staff were great, beds were super comfy, bedrooms were lovely and quirky, breakfast was tasty and location was brilliant!
