Very good

Liked: Courtyard and building was a nice theme. Great location, walking distance to Bourbon street and Jackson Square. Valet was easy, although a little pricey.

Very good

Liked: Beautiful property, beauty of the French Quarter, but not the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. Near the French Market.
Disliked: Apparently the room walls are thin because whomever was in the room beside me had a dog that began barking before 7am. When the dog stopped, the male in the room began singing in an opera-like voice leading the dog to howl along with him. Was great for my hangover. Again, this was lack of courtesy by a guest, not on the part of the hotel. The hotel and its staff were all phenomenal

The Hotel Provincial is the...

Liked: There is a rustic, ol' Naw'lins charm--starting with the courtyard...but running through the free morning coffee and the friendly, helpful staff. It feels like the memory of someplace you've stayed before and loved...and it's definitely someplace you want to return to. Easy walking distance to the Market...and to Cafe' du Monde. Restaurants are within blocks that pass quickly while strolling past a myriad of shops. Across the street from the hotel are planters filled with beautiful flowers, flowing potato vine--set against brick buildings and courtyard walls. New Orleans is the home of wrought iron balustrades and long hallways--at the end of which are more secret gardens and enchanting courtyards. There's nothing quite like New Orleans--American's most European city. And, The Hotel Provincial is the perfect blend of old world charm and New World cleanliness and function. We loved our time there...and will return!
Disliked: Nothing.

Good

Liked: Great location, friendly staff (reception, bar, vslet parking)
Disliked: I’m afraid you have a rat problem in building no. 5, possibly connected to the restaurant on the ground floor. I guess this is probably an issue in the whole French Quarter. Still, pest control is urgent.

Decent hotel but a bit...

Liked: Nicely presented hotel with decent rooms, a bar and pretty courtyard area. The staff were mostly pleasant and friendly and it was lovely using the pool on a hot day.
Disliked: Felt very expensive for what it was. Siginifcantly more expensive than another hotel we stayed in around the corner but without much more to show for it aside from the pool. Parking was expensive too. Missing a few touches like bottled water in the hotel room. The restaurant was closed presumably for refurbishment.
