Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms and...

Liked: Beautiful historic building converted into a very comfortable hotel. We got an upgrade and were very happy with our premium room. Staff were charming and sorted a couple of issues out for us immediately. The location is great; slightly away from the busy centre but still within walking distance of all sights and loads of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance.
Disliked: A small niggle, but it was hard to take a shower without water leaking out of the double-footed shower enclosure.

Great stay in the centre...

Liked: We stayed in the residences. Around the corner from the main hotel, but able to use all the facilities. It was a lovely quiet courtyard, right in the centre of town.
Disliked: We didn’t eat breakfast there as 32 euros a person was too expensive. We found an amazing cafe (Matin Midi) instead, just around the corner and it was great.

Liked: Main hotel looks wonderful with fantastic terrace on the back
Disliked: Residence where we stayed in the next street has aura of standard motel in US . Tiny room, no antechamber- stepping directly at bed. Small dungeon feeling, when we arrived after 4 pm , garbage bags and dirty laundry where lying on the floor in some sort patio which doesn’t have even two chairs for guests to sit outside. Poor selection of tea and minimum coffee. We saw there is other residence opposite from hotel in the garden that looks nice - this one was big disappointment seeing the beauty of the main hotel. Besides the good position room is not worth half the price. Cleaning ladies made sure to make a lot of noise early in the morning so nobody would miss checking out on time.

Atmospheric place

Liked: Beautiful mix of old and new in the interior design, very helpful staff, lovely breakfast. And literally only a few steps away from the heart of the city.
Disliked: Could use more sockets for charging my devices. Had to unplug the bed lamps.
