Very nice room. No amenities...

Liked: Rooms were nice and looked renovated. Very large and clean
Disliked: The hotel is looking very old and run down. limited outdoor parking. Rooms are very nice though. No complaints for that. But exterior and interior of hotel itself is disappointing

Liked: Fast efficient receptionist who helped us find the parking lot money machine. Clean and comfortable room. Quite big!

Potentially an excellent hotel once...

Liked: Good sized room with useful kitchenette. Everything worked. Quiet room on 12th floor with good view of the river & weir. A food store just around the corner at the next junction and a good selection of Restaurants further along the same side of the river towards the 'must visit' Canadian Museum of History. Bus stop a couple of hundred metres away for getting into town.
Disliked: The Booking.com listing said: "Located across the street from the Ottawa River and Parliament Hill, Hotel Chateauneuf Gatineau-Ottawa offers free WiFi and a well-equipped fitness centre." but hotel under new management as of June 2025 so restaurant & gym closed. Hotel provided list of local restaurants.Taxis and others only know this hotel as the Hotel Crowne Plaza. Residents need to be told this so to avoid being stuck, like me, because the taxi firm couldn't find the hotel on their list.An inaccessible part of the river is a short way away but Parliament Hill & better access to the river side walks is a good mile away.
