Superb

Liked: Near the train station, good size room. Very friendly staff. Quiet and comfortable.
Disliked: Could not find gluten free options at breakfast, and no one to ask either. The shower was a tad too small.

Not a great stay!

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: 1. The elevator did not go to each floor.2. The elevator did not work the morning we checked out so we had to haul our bags downstairs. They had the entire lobby closed off, so we couldn’t leave through the main door where our car was parked outside. Then we had haul our luggage until we actually found an exit! We are in our late 70’s and luckily other guests helped us with our luggage otherwise we couldn’t have gotten them down by ourselves!3. The bathrooms were very small and the lighting in one was very dim and not working in the other one.4. The vinyl floor was very uneven5. We paid for breakfast which was supposed to start at 6:30am, but were informed that it wouldn’t start until 8:00am. We had to catch a ferry so we had to leave before 8:00am.- no refund for breakfast was offered.

Liked: Due to low demand it was an automatic check-in. Functioned well.
Disliked: Nothing. All was well.

Liked: It was nice and roomy and calm when we stayed there. i felt comfortable
Disliked: i found it strange that i paid such a price when the only space in the hotel that i could roam, was our room. we stayed after christmas and there was no staff and therefore access to any other places at the hotel other than our room. I dont think its fair to take as much paiment as they did when that was all we could get, but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

A roof over your head...

Liked: For the time of year (24th of December) the check in process was very smooth and was communicated well beforehand so we knew what we were expecting. The bed was fairly comfortable.
Disliked: The room is very dated and in a dire need for some TLC. The bathroom was not acceptable even though it was fairly clean (apart from the fan that was filled with dust etc.), the bathroom fan was extremely loud. The walls are very thin and other guests were very loud in the morning. The air in the room was very heavy and a window had to be open during the night but there was some noise from the street from passers by.

Liked: The location was ideal.
Disliked: The hotel indicated it had an elevator, however, we found out when we checked-in that it doesn’t work all hours of the day. From the elevator, there are stairs going up and down to reach our rooms. We were leaving early in the morning to catch our ferry and had to use the stairs carrying our luggage. We’re seniors so it was a bit of a challenge for us.
