Very clean, unique hotel. Friendly...
Liked: In a residential neighborhood and that it had been a school, convent, church and rectory.
Disliked: All good.

Liked: I loved how they incorporated a church and turned it into hotel rooms. I loved the personal art touches and how everything was made to feel very old. But was also very comfortable. I love that they are basically the whole street. With the cute little sundae shop and the upscale restaurant and bar.

Easy place to be in...
Liked: Soulful space?of course. The room, albeit somewhat small, was thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. Great bed and wonderful shower. The neighborhood is perfect if you love to wander and discover places not in the guidebook.

Liked: Room was cute, clean. Short walk to Frenchman street and French Quarter.
Disliked: We stayed in a first floor school house petite room. Everything was great except for the noise level. Not great sound insolation and exposed beams on the ceiling are more cute than functional as we were woken up at 7 AM by the people in the room above us. Our room was also next to the ice maker and we were woken up by that as well.

Liked: The atmosphere. Nice and quiet
Disliked: We paid $218 with tax. There should have been coffee in the room and ice closer to the room. Other than that, it was very nice

Gem Near Frenchmens Street
Liked: The hotel is prettier than the pictures show. Our loft rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel is only 2-3 blocks from Frenchmens St so we could walk to listen to great jazz. Highly recommend this hotel for comfort and value. On site parking was excellent and reasonably priced at $10.day!
Disliked: One of the receptionists could have been a little friendlier and warmer. Maybe she was just having a bad week??
