Incredible hotel wonderful staff clean...

Liked: Location close to everything!!!! , staff were so friendly!!! Beautiful rooms, lil fridge and power strip included! Fresh baked brownies every night bonus! Lovely soaps shampoos and conditioner. Best hotel so far in our trip through Norway!
Disliked: Nothing! Even had a fan!

My stay was not what...

Liked: Location
Disliked: I could hear my neighbors snoring and talking. Last day of stay I left hotel without breakfast, because it was no free table to sit and eat , very disappointing! When I checked out staff in reception didn’t even ask how was my stay , they just handed my paycheck…. There was no possibility to make some tea or coffee in the room. If you want coffee or tea you need to go downstairs. The bathroom was very tiny , wouldn’t recommend for tall people.

Exceptional

Liked: Everything was great. I had an amazing view of the city from my window. The room and the bed were comfortable, with enough space for the guest. The building itself is stylish, though inside you can see its age, which makes the place special. Also the location is very tourist friendly, within a walking distance of city attractions, the station, and near the park. The staff were really helpful and hospitable, breakfast was tasty ( especially home made granola and bread, and you have a variety of foods to choose from). All day you can grab a tea or a coffee and enjoy freshly baked brownie. The place is really worth recommending.
Disliked: The only thing you need to keep in mind is the fact that there is no lift, so you need to walk and carry your luggage, but for me that was not a problem at all

A disappointment

Liked: The room was a good size and breakfast was reasonable but varied according to when you arrived. Tea, coffee and brownies were in the breakfast room supposedly throughout the day, but we saw no evidence of coffee and there were no staff to ask and it was cleared away long before we were led to believe at check in. There was nothing in the room except for a kettle. To get teabag and mugs you had to go to the room downstairs.
Disliked: The staff member who checked us in was lovely but after that staff were obvious by their absence. Staff on the front desk sat at their computer with their back to the room or the area was completely empty. We were asked to change room at 9:30 at night and move across the road. This did not suit us as the room offered was on the third floor and there are no lifts. We were there for five nights and our room was serviced only on day 4.

Exceptional

Liked: Great breakfast, lots of good art, dignity, nice free coffee and cake during the day.
Disliked: No elevator

Good location, good breakfast and...

Liked: The decoration inside the hotel is beautiful. Staffs are nice and friendly and the breakfast is good. The location is really good. It located on the top of the slope and can have a good view from the window and it only takes ~10mins walk from bus station and 20 mins to the bay of Bergen.

Excellent choice for Bergen.

Liked: Clean, comfortable and very well located for my visit to UiB. Good breakfast and helpful staff.
Disliked: Room is a little on the small side and would have liked a small closet where to hang clothes or somewhere to put my luggage in.

Charming, cozy, in a lovely...

Liked: Hotel Park is a real touch of local flavor, blending that Norwegian charm with the cosmopolitan aspects of bigger cities like Bergen. Hotel buildings (there are two, with the white building being the main one) and a short walk from the city center, situated in a quieter residential area and next to an absolutely beautiful city park. It’s just perfectly situated for exploring Bergen, and then finding quiet to unwind.Rooms are on the smaller side (by American standards), but that’s the case throughout Bergen. Perfectly clean and comfortable, with nice little amenities throughout the hotel. Hands down, the best brownies I’ve ever eaten (and I’m from the U.S. South, so I’ve had plenty). Breakfast was a perfect blend of local and standard foods. Hotel Park is just a charming, lovely place.
Disliked: Friends with whom I traveled weren’t crazy about the stairs, but that’s Europe! I’d say if you have mobility issues, request a room on the ground floor of the adjacent building (the green house across the street).
