The fully renovated Maison ELLE Amsterdam re-opened its doors in January 2017. The distinctive 19th century property is located in an elegant street just off Vondelpark and features a private garden. The thirty rooms and suites have large windows and offer a view of the city or the garden. Pleasant stay in the city,...

Liked: Hotel has been recently refurbished and well located, only 15mins walk to the earth of the City. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good breakfast served in the morning. Very easy to get to the airport from the Hotel with tram + train.
Disliked: Rooms are very small and bathroom too. A bit expensive daily fees for the size of the room-bathroom and taking into account is not in the earth of city centre, even though very close by, only 15mins walk.

Nice hotel, but poor problem...

Liked: Great location, well-appointed rooms
Disliked: I had dealt with a problem regarding my booking with the front of house staff, but the staff were unapologetic about the situation, despite some of it having happened because of miscommunications on the hotel side. We were able to check in after resolving this, but only to a smaller room when a larger room was paid for and booked. No formal apologies were made for this arrangement. I don’t think I will book again because of how these issues were dealt with.

Very good option for Amsterdam...

Liked: The hotel was very intimate and accommodating. The staff was pleasant and friendly. They helped us have a great stay in Amsterdam. I would recommend the hotel. It’s not the closest to city center but it checks a lot of boxes and if you’re not afraid of walking then this is a great option. It is safe and convenient to everything you want.
Disliked: The front door is heavy. LOL welcome to real architecture!
