Nice hotel, need to put...

Liked: Rooms are nice and functional
Disliked: Bed linen felt worn and the pillows weren't very comfortable. I popped my head into breakfast once and grabbed an orange juice (no food) and when I checked out I was charged 20 EUROs for that little glass of juice (despite being told my breakfast was complimentary). To be fair, the receptionist did take it off the bill. As there was a conference on the hotel was busy and service was therefore lacking. It was extremely difficult to get even a coffee in the lobby - which was maybe a good thing because the 3 cups of coffee we did have cost 40 EUROs....

When returning to Amsterdam I...

Liked: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms with nice view over the city. Bars and restaurants at the location, but De Pijp (Amsterdam quarter) is not far away, and there one finds cheaper bars/restaurants as well.
Disliked: Okura comes with a price; it is not a cheap hotel. One also needs to take public transport to get into the centre or you can walk but it takes a bit, as it is located in Amsterdam-south - easy connection with tram 12 though.
