Liked: Hôtel Odyssey is a very conveniently located hotel located a very short walk from Châtelet les Halles and minutes from many of the sights of the first arrondissement.The rooms make very efficient use of their small footprint and are ideal for individuals or couples who do not mind sharing intimate spaces (the wall separating the shower from the bed is glass, as shown in the photos on the listing, so there is not much privacy in that regard). My partner and I found the room very comfortable for our stays (we stayed here in for a total of three nights split across both ends of a longer trip within France) and appreciated the location, adequate storage space within the room (there is a generously sized closet), and the breakfast options. The hotel staff were quite helpful, patient, and approachable. We also appreciated that we were able to store our bags for the day while exploring both on the day of our arrival (before our room was available) and on the day of our departure.

Odd Odyssey. Disappointing short stay....

Liked: The location was good, staff were fiendly
Disliked: The AC was out for my stay which looks like a common thing given other reviews and amount of portable fans they had on hand. I had to sleep with the window open because of the temperature and it was very noisy.The room was the smallest I've ever stayed in, smaller than any apartment in the city I've seen. There was no room to open my luggage it was that small.I tried booking a cab for 7:30am when i checked in the previous day, this was not done and the cab arrived over half an hour late when they did eventually call. Breakfast was not ready at 7am as intended and I subsequently missed it due to the cab situation.

Disliked: Arrived in the middle of the heatwave to learn that the hotel did not have air conditioning working on the day. Really frustrating that we didn't receive notification earlier in the day to make other arrangements. Staff assured that it will be fixed the following day. However, nothing happened then so only stayed for one night and had to keep the windows wide open to be able to survive. The room was extremely small, only one person has the edge of the bed. The other person has to sleep next to a wall. The bathroom is literally inside the room itself. It just felt very claustrophobic even though everything seemed modern and updated.

Disliked: We were there when the temperatures were over 30 degrees, and the hotel informed us when we arrived that the air conditioning was not working ... they gave the really cheap fan. Disaster! As for cleanliness, the sheets were dirty in some places, the pillows didn't smell nice, and the bed was really hard and no comfortable Room really small, really...
