A pleasant experience
Liked: I enjoyed how modern the property was. The bathroom design and layout was exceptional. The room was pretty clean. We enjoyed the idea of the desk behind that the bed.
Disliked: The only thing that I would change is to remove some of the markings from the baseboards and our bed did not have a top sheet

Interesting room but no amenities...
Liked: Extremely funky room with a studio/loft feel. Room was very bright and clean.
Disliked: No coffee in the room. Nothing offered for breakfast except for extremely bad coffee. The so-called check in desk was tucked under a set of stairs in the bar/restaurant area. No lobby. No exercise room. No pool.

Adequate lodging in a great...
Liked: The staff at Hotel Ocho was, without exception, fantastic! I felt looked after and cared for the whole time. I give the staff top ratings! They even held my suitcase after I checked out.
Disliked: This place is pretty good, and in a great location! Just know that, aside from the staff, the overall vibe is of a budget hotel (in spite of the price). As long as you have that expectation, you will (like me) have a fine time here. In terms of specific suggestions: (1) If the wifi is down, consider offering guests a drink, a meal, or something else acknowledge the inconvenience (which was significant for me, since this was a business trip). (2) Consider adding dresser, armoire, nightstands, and a kettle/coffeemaker to make the room more livable, especially for longer stays. (3) Consider adding overhead lighting (I know there was an offer to bring more lamps to the room, but overhead would be preferable). (4) In general, it feels like everything could use, metaphorically, a fresh coat of paint to make it feel a bit more modern and cozy. As it is, the property feels well-worn.
