I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Liked: Nice decor; quiet and friendly staff.
Disliked: Not really impressed with the breakfast.

Disliked: I would definitely want to be informed that there was no bathroom door.

Liked: Comfortable bed, great location, friendly staff.
Disliked: There were hairs on the bed sheets when I first got to the room, and housekeeping was done for the day at that point. The concierge offered to sweep that hairs away, but couldn't change my sheets until housekeeping was in the next day, so I had to sleep on potentially dirty sheets for the first night. The room was also pretty dark, with only two light sources (desk lamp and a standing lamp in the corner. The walls seemed pretty thin as well. I could hear my neighbours' conversations and alarm in the morning.

Liked: Location, bed
Disliked: Istayed in room 36, very very loud heating system. It woke me up every time it went on and off during the night.

Overall, my stay was pleasant...
Liked: I liked the high ceilings and the brick walls, the bed was also very nice and the sheets :-) The shower head was great with good temperature.
Disliked: I did not know that breakfast came with the room booking. That would have been nice to know. Didn't like carpet, the bathroom is cold and unfriendly.

Liked: The positives: great location, able to get to Chinatown, Kensington Market, etc really easy; I walked there from Union Station and it was only a 20-minute walk; bed was really comfortable, when I find most hotel beds uncomfortable; I was worried that it might be noisy given its location, but soundproofing was great and room was quiet (other than two drunk guests who returned at 2:30am and made quite a racket!); AC works well, but is noisy if you put the full fan on.
Disliked: The not quite so positives: it says the hotel opened in 2011, but it already has a run-down feel to it - e.g. marks on walls, there was a burn mark from an iron on the carpet, etc; there is a place to hang up clothes - but no drawers or places to store your items or safe for valuables, so you essentially have to live out of your suitcase; there was no overhead light in space where the bed was, so you had to walk to the desk behind the bed to turn on the desk lamp to get light in the room; there was a wedding on the Saturday when I stayed, so guests were not allowed in the restaurant /bar area all day - I've seen comments from others about weddings at the hotel, so if you are staying at the weekend, there may be a high chance of a wedding; as a result, I hardly saw the staff and therefore cannot comment too much on service.
