Didn’t meet my expectations and...

Liked: Breakfast was ok (hot & cold buffet, and included in room rate). Staff were friendly. Bathroom toiletries were nice. Good WiFi.
Disliked: Room so much smaller than expected and thought the pictures are quite misleading. The bathroom had a foul odour on arrival and wasn’t very clean. Shower leaked through screen and filled bathroom floor. No wardrobe only limited open shelf for clothes. No bath, iron or fridge. Pillows not comfortable. Extremely limited onsite parking, has to be pre-booked and is an extra fee. No tea/coffee facilities in room but free in lobby. The area wasn’t as expected given reviews say location is excellent and would have preferred to stay near the theatre (near Royal Hotel) and shopping area. Overall it didn’t meet my expectations after reading the positive reviews here and pictures online. We didn’t enjoy staying here.

A little underwhelming

Liked: Well located for the city centre and the art museum. Our room facing away from the road was surprisingly quiet for a city centre hotel. Staff all helpful - provided extra pillows on request. Arrived just in time for wine hour which was a nice bonus.
Disliked: The room was quite small and stuffy for two people. Also located directly above the staff smoking area so opening the window tended to pull cigarette smoke in - despite the signs in reception that it was a 100% no smoking hotel. We found the seating to be uniformly uncomfortable - we need firmer and straighter chairs for our backs. Breakfast average.
