The Nikko was less expensive than other area hotels and provided top notch service, room was great, and the in room coffee was even drinkable! A tailored drum group was wonderful entertainment and our walk to the show at the Nob Hill Masonic was steep, but brief.
Liked: Quiet room; comfy bed; great shower and towels!

The hotel itself is very nice, however the room was extremely small, and "no frills". For $250 per night (w/taxes), and $45 + Tax, I know we could've done better.
Liked: Fairly comfortable.
Disliked: Too expensive for a very average, no frill room.

A reasonable choice for San...
Liked: A good hotel that is well located to see San Francisco and is very clean. The staff were very helpful, especially the concierge and the main restaurant was very good. It has a Starbucks for those who only want a coffee/croissant approach and the rooms were comfortable.
Disliked: I didn't like receiving an email months after we had booked to say that an amenity charge of $29 dollars per day per person had been added - too late to do much about it. The most expensive of any hotel we stayed in, several of which were much better. The Starbuck's was not the cleanest and we didn't feel an integral part of the place.

Beware of Extra Charges!
Liked: This is a luxury hotel and the rooms are nice, if a little on the small side.
Disliked: The hotel attempted to add a $30 per night, per room "amenity fee" to my bill that was not mentioned on my original reservation through Booking.com. I had to argue with two hotel managers in order to get the charges removed from my bill. Also, parking at the hotel ($75 per day) is very expensive. The charged me $10 extra for having an "oversized vehicle". If you must stay here, recommend parking across the street in the garage for half price. Between the added fees, snotty staff and exorbitant parking fees, my experience at Hotel Nikko left a sour taste in my mouth. I will never consider staying at another Hotel Nikko again!
