Liked: The staff were brilliant with our two young boys who loved the hotel and city. Breakfast was fantastic and they catered well for our son, who has allergies. Beautiful property and location in the heart of the Gothic Quarter.

Fun hotel with great staff...

Liked: Property is cool. Room is decent. Bathroom in room is very dated. Restaurant is good. Staff is great. Hard to say if it’s a 5-star property, probably not; but def not worth a $1K/nt. We dramatically overpaid.

Beautiful property with excellent location...

Liked: Our family of 4 stayed in one of the 1 bedroom apartments across the street from the main hotel. We had a bedroom w/bathroom (nice walk in shower), living room w/ pullout, kitchen/dining area (that was nicely appointed with supplies) and a view of a gothic district street. Beds very comfortable, and luxury robes w slippers also provided. Outdoor area provided on rooftop of both buildings. Many security features to get into building/ apartment. Very high class property with unique features built in 12th century palace. Very attentive front desk staff as well as high quality bar and restaurant onsite (that was very spacious and quiet compared to some nearby). Tons of nice shops and restaurants nearby in both the Gothic and El born district. Also a fairly easy walk to the waterfront district. The uniqueness of this property and neighborhood really contributed to our overall experience in Barcelona, and we would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Be aware that many taxis will not drop you off at the hotel but a few minutes walk away. However the hotel is able to directly summon a taxi to their door for pickup.

Liked: Large, comfortable, well lit room with modern fixtures in the bathroom that include a double sink bathtub and dual jet shower. The front desk staff is exceptional. The location could not be better for our needs, wanting to explore the Gothic quarter and be central to public transportation.
