Hotel Nell - Union Market

It was ok.

Liked: The atmosphere was nice and it is very close to Union Market.
Disliked: Security. My car was broken into on the property. Better security is needed.

Don't Recommend

Liked: Everything you need is within walking distance. Facility was clean. One of the front desk clerks helped us out to make our stay a Little better didn't get his name but he was understanding of our situation and gave us a different room along with free breakfast.
Disliked: Check in...the lady who check us in was rude and literally took 1200.00 deposit because she tried to say my card kept declining but I have bank statements proving I have 900.00 withdrawaled from one card and 300.00 from another. Room we got in basement floor had no a/c and no TV access. Had to call and tell her in which shockingly she came down to help with something. They have no manager on site. This place is a rip off and will steal your money without giving your deposit back. Do not recommend staying here. I've stayed here before it changed it's name but now the way it's ran now it's all bad.

Good for short stay

Liked: The hotel is placed well for exploring the city. The room was clean and with what was needed. There are a lot of places to eat and/or drink that are affordable and the area is very safe and clean. The reception guys were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a good value for money.
Disliked: 1. I am not a fan of sinks in the room but the one that I got was with one.2. I had an issue with the AC that we could not turn it off and blew hard inside the room. They sent someone to fix it and somehow turned it off, but if we would have stayed more nights, it would have been a big problem to not be able to control myself the AC.3. the ceiling looks unfinished, but this is not necessarily a problem as it is just the aesthetics that the hotel wants to have, no functional issue.

Value for money.
