Superb

Clean and good location.

Liked: Delicious breakfast, nice and clean, location, comfortable beds, staff was very nice.
Disliked: It needs air conditioning, the Fun didn’t work all the time and no one went to check on it. we requested towels 3 days later and we only go 2 more ( we were 4 people)

Great Location

Liked: Easy access to buses. Near tourist attraction, Garibaldi, Mariachis. Excellent traditional market 2 blocks away and Esperanza Bakery across the the street. Delicious! Breakfast was good but the hot food was repetitious. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. My husband speaks Spanish so that helped.
Disliked: No hairdryer in suite. Had to go to reception to pick one up and leave my passport as security. They also offered free umbrellas but again, required my passport for security. Also, the shower had a half glass enclosure which resulted in large amounts of water flooding onto the bathroom floor. Very artsy shower door design but not practical. The bath mat did not help as it was very small and flimsy. You get two towels and one hand towel. Also, note that if you require chilled drinks, you will not find a fridge in Mexican hotels. At least not the several we have stayed in.

The facility is very clean....

Liked: No aircon only a big ceiling fan. It was not very comfortable without aircon. I gets hot during the day especially.

Disappointing

Liked: Old building located in between 2 very busy avenues and renovated with cheap materials, reason why the rooms are bland and crammed, you cannot close the doors without slaming them (quite fun at 3AM) and the walls, paper thin - you can hear EVERY noise from adjacent rooms, hallway and outside. The room was also very hot, there was no aircon, just a very loud fan. We're not even picky travellers, but we spent 5 nights in this hotel, barely slept and felt very uncomfortable throughout the whole stay. The shower head was spraying the water rather than pouring it and the bathroom's ventilation was barely working. The gym has some equipment, but cannot fit more than 1-2 persons working out at the same time.As for breakfast, very few options to choose from. And shoutout to the dude who serves breakfast, who is basically running the show almost by himself, with 1 person serving up to 20 people at the same time while replenishing the water for the coffee maker and refilling the yogurt bowl.Overall, we have great regrets that we didn't pay a bit more and stay in a different hotel (the difference in price was not that big). This was literally the worst hotel we've stayed in, we were fooled by the high rating this hotel has (not sure how that happened), the pictures (which are VERY misleading) and its proximity to Centro Historico (which can be compensated by the good public transport the city has). Would definitely not recommend, just pay a bit more and stay in a more comfortable hotel.

Liked: Nice space. Clean and comfortable. Not a hot time of year, so fan was nice.

Not very pleasant

Liked: Spacious room, good beds, functioning shower, breakfast included.
Disliked: Non-smoking room smelled like someone had been smoking there before.By local knowledge the nearby streets are dangerous at night but there was no such information found anywhere.
