Superb

Great hotel, but the self-check-in...

Liked: We really liked this place as far as the facilities are concerned. The rooms are big, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. The shower was big and worked well too.
Disliked: The self check-in for us was unacceptable. The machine to do self check-in was not intuitive and didn't recognize our reservation. We had to get "Sam," a staff member, to help us through the process. It took us about 45 minutes to check in! I believe one problem is that the machine asks for an "ID Number" and not "reservation number." Anyway, it was not easy or quick for us and 3 others behind us trying to check in.

Nice, clean, modern room right...

Liked: Location was great… very close to everything. Size of the room was also nice and spacious.
Disliked: No air conditioning but they will give you fans if requested. Fortunately for us it was cool and rainy overnight but I can’t imagine staying there later in the summer without a/c.

Good location and facilities but...

Liked: Good location and our room was nice and clean.
Disliked: There is no air conditioning and our room was quite hot. I read other reviews saying that a fan could be requested, but it took the staff over a day to grant this request. There are no staff onsite and they were not responsive over email or WhatsApp. Initially they responded saying we already had a fan in the room, which we did not, and then we didn’t hear back from them until the next day. We were only there for two nights and ended up receiving a fan the second day, but the first night was pretty uncomfortable. And the bigger issue is the lack of responsiveness. If no one is going to be onsite, I think there should be better monitoring of email/WhatsApp. We were lucky we only needed a fan, but if there was an emergency or we couldn’t get in the building for some reason, if keys stopped working, etc… the situation could have been much worse.

Enjoyable anc perfect location and...

Liked: Large spacious room, all very clean and modern. Beautiful bedding and duvets and comfy beds
Disliked: Bedroom a bit stuffy as there was not enough ventilation. Needs air con up in the top floor as roof heats up.

Exceptional

The worst hotel I stayed...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: During my recent trip to Switzerland I stayed in 7 different hotels across the country and this one was hands down the absolute worst. I stayed in what was essentially an attic room (on the top floor) and it had no air conditioning. I later found out this is relatively common in Switzerland but all my other 6 hotels had AC. It was 80 F degrees outside, so at least 90 F degrees inside the room - we had to leave the window open but there was NO breeze so it didn't help at all. Because the window was open, a bird got in, in the early morning, that we had to get out ourselves because there's essentially no staff on the premises.Also the entire room was carpeted, including the bathroom, so the floor is totally stained yellow around the toilet, it was absolutely disgusting. The sink and shower are right in the middle of the main room, not in a separate bathroom.Lastly, the bed sheets had a blood stain on them, and the lamp on the right side of the bed was broken.For the amount of money I paid for this room, I felt scammed. It felt like a prison cell, not a hotel room. Never again.

Budget rooms in a good...

Liked: The location was good as it was near everything and close to the train station. The beds were comfortable. The room was very quiet.
Disliked: Booked a twin superior room, ended up in the loft room. Very low ceilings especially near the bed. The shower is in the living room and the room is very small. They had left the window open so had a lot of little bugs when we arrived late. No staff on so you have to email if you want to contact them. No air conditioning in the room we were in.
