Perfect location and lovely staff....

Liked: The location was fantastic
Disliked: It was like a building site (was advised dining room refurbishment) but not of reception area and steps etc Very noisy drilling all morning. Not a double bed as stated got 2 singles No kettle in the room as in description

Nice stay, but under construction

Liked: Good place, little but nice rooms
Disliked: It's a bit noisy, you hear water running from other rooms

Perfect bolt hole for a...

Liked: Location was perfect. Close to metro and bus stops. We walked from Gare du nord when we arrived, so walking distance to main train station. Hard to review properly as hotel is undergoing renovations, but reception staff were really helpful and spoke great English.
Disliked: Rooms were quite small and could hear lift and other people in their rooms using their bathroom facilities and talking.

Lovely room, really let down...

Liked: Our room was freshly decorated. It was very modern, bright and clean. Good location for where we needed to be which is why we booked.
Disliked: This cannot be said for the rest of the hotel which is apparently going through a renovation that we were not told about when we booked. Nor was there an explanation when we arrived. There was no restaurant. The floor was taken up walking up the stairs, where there should have been a restaurant there was a collection of boxes, old beds and building materials. Walking down the stairs yesterday from the lift there were more boxes which I believe goes against health and safety rules. Especially when you are carrying a suitcase. The card machine didn't work so we were unable to pay the guest tax when we arrived and when we left - luckily one of us had a bank card otherwise we would not have been able to pay this. I'm not sure how a hotel can run like this? Finally there was no kettle in our room. I would say an essential is kettle. Our booking clearly says tea/coffee making facilities and a kettle AND air conditioning and none of these were in our room. Sorry to put this on a public frum but it's important anyone booking right now knows the situation.
