A writer's dream

Liked: Love this hotel. Second time I've stayed here. The fact that cause célèbre writers Jean Paul Satre and Simone de Beauvoir lived in this hotel gives it such gravitas.The fact that this wonderful hotel is located right across the street from the lovely Montparnasse cemetery just adds more charm to the entire experience. Great location, excellent breakfast, plenty of extras little goodies like housemade mint lemonade and mini croissants in the afternoon. And did I mention the welcome plate of macarons & a personalized handwritten note upon arrival? How thoughtful is that?
Disliked: Most of the staff is amazing. A few of the staff seem more interested in their phones than making an effort to be attentive. The very least the desk host could have wished me a 'bon voyage' when I left. Something. I didn't love the view of the neighbor across the street sitting in his underwear.

Contemporary bright comfortable room set...

Liked: Beautiful historical hotel in quiet street but close to 3 metros, Gare Montparnasse, bars and restaurants. Great area for walking. Lovely room, light clean and comfortable. Nice touch to find 2 macarons on arrival and kettle in the room. Complimentary pastries in the lobby.
Disliked: Room a bit on the small side

Liked: Close to gare Paris Montparnasse in safe cultural area. Nice staff and rooms, clean. Elevator available.
