Fabulous location.

Liked: Perfect location and the concierge recommendations for restaurants were spot on. It’s out of the tourist area that made for a restful stay.

Dark room with no view...

Liked: A great central location over the road from the Guggenhiem meant it was easy to get into both the old and new towns of Bilbao during out stay.
Disliked: The room I booked said a courtyard view as an internal room, the room came with a frosted window which was covered bya blind when we arrived. On opening the window there were a few stones on the ground and definitely not an inner courtyard. This made the room very dark and unwelcoming. As we were only staying one night we did not ask to be moved but had I been staying there any longer I would, given that I paid double for that one night than I have elsewhere in the city, which was also a four star hotel. The open visitor book on the desk showed some people had enjoyed their stay, I doubt the hotel would have wanted my feedback.

Liked: Lovely hotel in great location with friendly people.We were lucky to get upgraded to a suite on the 7th floor with amazing view of the city and the museum. Breakfast also highly recommended.

Disliked: Our room was quite dark and did not have a view

Pleasant

Liked: Good location close to the Guggenheim Bilbao.
Disliked: The property is very tired and in need of a refresh (eg carpets etc). Our room was also located next to the lift which was quite noisy.
