Liked: Staff were very welcoming and so helpful for what to do around Munich. Easy walking distance to train station and town centre. Rooms have been well renovated and were more than comfortable.

Hotel is trying hard/adequate but...

Liked: The Mirabell is a good 1 night stay near Hauptbanhof, clean and comfy.It was somewhat pricier by 30 euro than nearby choices we have stayed in past and we wanted to give other hotels a try as we fly in and out of Munich a couple times a year. The desk stated on checkin that we were in a premium room on 6th (top) floor. It was spacious enough with terraced rooftop.Breackfast is excellent.
Disliked: Shaggy plush carpeting felt dated, we prefer flooring.The terrace while a nice option had views of 8 construction cranes in immediate vicinity which hotel has no control over.Room interior was quiet but street noise/construction was intrusive with windows open making teŕrace unuseable.Area is a little busy/sketchy for my liking.I had a second night booked on return but decided to switch out and keep search going as previous hotels nearby were a better fit/option.

A great place to stay...

Liked: The place was quiet and comfortable with a fridge! We ate on the balcony and had amazing views! The staff were totally awesome and helpful and we got free coffee in the lobby!
Disliked: The shag carpet looked like it could use a refresh and a lounger on the balcony was broken.

Disappointing

Disliked: The room did not have a smoke detector, which felt unsafe. The mattress and pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor — possibly from previous smoking, even though the room was listed as non-smoking. Hallways are outdated, and the car elevator is very tight, hard to use unless you have a small car. The photos online don’t fully reflect the current condition of the property. Also concerning was seeing staff write down card details in a notebook — that’s not secure and shouldn’t be happening. Would not recommend.
