The Spotlight on Hotel Mimosa

Stay Close to the Beat in NYC

Modern, minimalist, and full of character, Hotel Mimosa sits in the heart of Chinatown—just a short walk from the Lower East Side, Little Italy, and key downtown concert venues. With sleek rooms, free WiFi, and a 24-hour front desk, it’s a smart choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience without the frills.

Located just a few blocks from the East Broadway Subway Station, the hotel offers fast access to the rest of Manhattan, making it a great base for any music-filled night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans love Hotel Mimosa for its quiet but central location. After a high-energy show in SoHo, the Lower East Side, or Brooklyn, it’s just a short ride—or walk—back to a peaceful night’s sleep. The late 4:00 PM check-in and noon check-out make it easy to rest and recover after a late night. Plus, with nearby bus and subway access, getting to and from venues is a breeze.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly home base in the city
  • Solo travelers here for that once-in-a-lifetime show
  • Couples planning a weekend music getaway
  • Fans who want a quiet, no-fuss place to recharge after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value without sacrificing location

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no full restaurant on-site, Hotel Mimosa has Coco Bubble Tea downstairs, offering Taiwanese teas and fresh juices—perfect for a late-night sip. For heartier meals, guests can choose from a curated list of recommended local eateries, all within walking distance. Whether it’s dumplings at midnight or bagels the next morning, Chinatown delivers.

Nightlife Options

With the Lower East Side just minutes away, you’ll find no shortage of bars, lounges, and live music spots nearby. Whether you're after craft cocktails, dive bars, or a second set, there's something for every post-show mood. While the hotel itself keeps things quiet, the surrounding neighborhood buzzes with nightlife.

What People Say

Guests love the friendly staff, super clean rooms, and the hotel's authentic neighborhood vibe. Many reviewers mention the excellent location for both sightseeing and catching shows, with several praising the easy access to public transit and excellent value for the price.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side—typical for New York—but well-designed to make the most of the space. There’s no on-site restaurant or gym, but the neighborhood more than makes up for it. Some guests note that the nearby subway line can be heard faintly in lower-level rooms, so light sleepers may want to request a higher floor.

The Bottom Line

If you want a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to crash after the concert, Hotel Mimosa delivers on all fronts—location, value, and a great night’s sleep in the city that never sleeps.

Clean and reasonable accomodations on...

Liked: Great clean spot centrally located close to a mta line in Chinatown! This was a great home base for our trip to Manhattan. One of the most reasonable spots for accomodation. Clean and cool room with a good fan system for circulation.
Disliked: Nothing fancy here- there is a fridge that is communal in the basement but nothing in the room.

Very good

Liked: Small room in China Town new your. Worth the money. Staff is polite and can give you some local recommendations. Yes there is train above hotel, but if you sleep you willn't wake up because of it. If you eat breakfast in local cafes in China Town you can save a lot of money.
Disliked: Room is small.

Very good

Liked: Everything clean and comfortable
Disliked: The location in Chinatown is not my preference and to walk from the nearest subway station to the Hotel can be a strange experience. Rooms are quite small but usual for Hotels in NY.

Great home base in a...

Liked: The staff were very helpful and provided a long list of recommended restaurants and cafes when we checked in. The rooms are smaller, but they have been updated, and the rain shower was an unexpected surprise!
Disliked: I was not aware that there wasn't any AC unit for the room. We were okay in the springtime with the windows open and the small ceiling fan, but if you are there in the summer you should definitely use the blackout curtains to keep the room cool in the daytime.
