Relaxing small town feel in...
Liked: A boutique hotel in the German/American town of Amana. Enjoyed the chance to slow down, shop, eat Great German food. No cookie cutter lodging here but a great re-birth of an historic woolen mill with food & Bar on-site ... won't forget the comfortable bed.

Liked: Beautiful hotel. Make sure to take time to walk the halls. Lots of historical machinery from the hotels previous life. Wonderful lobby and a few nooks and crannies for visiting.
Disliked: Walls are paper thin. Could clearly hear conversation in next room and in hall.

Great until the last night...
Liked: Very modern. Loved the large shower and generous room space. Lots of horizontal surfaces to store items. Room was clean when I arrived, but not cleaned properly after my first night (sink not cleaned properly and bed not made tidily). Didn’t use housekeeping after that.
Disliked: The lock mechanism on my room door was faulty and it took one and a half hours to fix. The maintenance staff was off site and 1/2 hour away. I’ve not encountered that before and I don’t think that’s adequate to serve guests. I finally got access to my room after I had planned to be getting to sleep, with a long drive the next morning, that was a terrible experience.
