Liked: The bed is comfortable with water available in each level.
Disliked: The room is outdated. Carpet needs replacement, with black dirt marks

Liked: Having stayed at Mercure hotels in France before the standards were as we expected them to be. We had almost no complaint whatsoever (see below).
Disliked: Paper cups in the bedroom and bathroom awful. Proper porcelain cups, and proper glasses would be much more acceptable.

Expectation vs. Reality

Liked: The hotel's location is excellent. It offers easy access to public transport, which is a significant advantage for any traveler looking to explore the area without too much hassle.Additionally, the staff at the hotel were the highlight of my stay. Each member I interacted with was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Their warmth and professionalism helped mitigate some of the negative aspects of the hotel.Overall, while the location and staff are commendable, the hotel itself does not live up to the expectations set by its promotional materials.
Disliked: During my recent stay at Mercure Boulogne, I encountered a mixed bag of experiences that may help other travelers set their expectations accordingly.Firstly, the promotional photographs of the hotel are quite misleading when compared to the reality. While the images showcased a polished and inviting environment, the actual condition of the hotel tells a different story. The infrastructure is noticeably worn out and is in dire need of refurbishment. The aesthetic charm hinted at in the photos fades away against the backdrop of peeling paint and outdated decor.Cleanliness, a paramount concern for any lodger, was unfortunately subpar. From the lobby to the corridors and into the rooms, the level of cleanliness was consistently disappointing. This aspect alone made the stay less comfortable than anticipated, overshadowing the more positive elements of the hotel.

Disliked: No services at all. The restaurant on the weekend is a veritable disaster. After my departure, the hotel charged me 28 euros, and I did not get any explanation.

Overall it was good

Disliked: Althought in booking I saw mentioned that taxes are included, but I payed some taxes on top, which was not nice. Also during check-in, reception was asking to me to pay a deposit, but at the end they said that no deposit needed. These points made me to feel a bit uncomfordable and untrasty.
