Warm welcome and everything you...
Liked: Extremely welcoming and friendly staff with great communication (in English), which was much appreciated due to my very poor French! The hotel reception and room was spotlessly clean. Great location, very easy to find and only a short walk from the train station.
Disliked: Nothing not to like, I just wish I could have stayed longer to explore Angers.

Excellent!
Liked: This was our first holiday with our 7 months old baby so we were worried how he will be in a hotel room and what if he doesn't feel comfortable. But Mercure crossed all our expectations. The room was spacious with big bed, the window was big enough so the room was airy and luminous. The staffs were friendly and professional. Will definitely go back to this place again if want to have a relax trip with my family.
Disliked: nothing negative at all.

A beautiful place to stay,...
Liked: The Mercure is a wonderful hotel, and a great base for visiting Angers. Our room was very comfortable and spacious; the air conditioning was great, too. Parking is secure and on-site, which was much appreciated. There are a number of restaurant options nearby. I recommend the Brasserie Milord. The hotel's breakfast is excellent; there were many options, and all of it was tasty. Right next to the hotel is the wonderful Jardin des plantes d'Angers, which has plenty of trails to stroll in the evenings. It's gorgeous and serene, and the hotel looks directly over it.
Disliked: The hotel's location is easy to access, but it's not super-close to the Chateau and cathedral. There is a tram station right outside the hotel that helps cut down the travel time a bit, but it's still a fair bit of walking, so just plan on that. Do NOT miss seeing the Château d'Angers! The medieval Apocalypse Tapestry demands to be seen.
