Fabolous hotel worth every penny!
Liked: Fantastic hotel - staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was absolutely superb - no faults here. Was worth spending a bit extra. Location is great in the heart of Jordaan which has so many lovely boutique shops and cafes.
Disliked: Nothing on the hotel - but surrounding areas and in fact a lot of Amsterdam was very dirty during our weekend stay. I don't know if city cleaning staff were on strike or something, but there was A LOT of litter everywhere. Not pleasant.

The unfriendly staff and lack...
Liked: Beautiful property on the inside. Great location!
Disliked: Rooms are pretty small and no closet or wardrobe of any kind to unpack. Also outdoor space wasn’t welcoming. Staff wasn’t friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was interrupting/burdening them when I wanted to order a drink from the bar during normal operating hours and there were no other customers so it’s not like it was busy. Also wanted to have a dessert one afternoon and was told it wasn’t possible to get anything without ordering a full prix fixe dinner.

Stylish hotel in a great...
Liked: We upgraded to a deluxe room and appreciated the extra space. The appearance of the hotel and room was very stylish and welcoming. We loved the quiet location in amongst the canals, yet close to sights etc. A supermarket was 2 minutes walk away.
Disliked: As a security measure we had to ring and wait for a staff member to open the front door every time we returned to the hotel. We didn't feel this was necessary given the location etc. and this was a hassle for both us and the staff.

Liked: Location, room
Disliked: Hotel claims to have 24 hours concierge but the staff isn't available at the reception at all times. Room cards don't work at hotel's entrance so we had to ring door bell everytime we enter the hotel. At night we rang the door bell multiple times and wait outside for more than 10 minutes. At the end I called the hotel (The phone number at Booking.com leads to an automated message of multiple hotels and I had to navigate in a menu) and wait for more for night staff to arrive. It wasn't a pleasent experience. The rooms cards should open the general doors and guests shouldn't wait for staff to open the doors.
