Liked: Everything was great and brilliant location.
Disliked: Fridge in room didnt work so the drinks I bought to keep cool were wasted - shower head needs fixed

Liked: Location was perfect with easy access and walking distance to everything. Staff at reception was amazing. Beds were comfy and air conditioning was a life saver during the heatwave
Disliked: Room could have been a fraction bigger but otherwise lovely.

Disliked: Hotel Meninas may have once been a 4 starHotel, but we found it to be tired and shabby. The staff were very friendly and helpful, however, the reception area was unswept and grubby. Our sheets and towels were thread bare, with holes in the sheets. The trapdoor in bathroom ceiling had dirty fingerprints and bubbled paint from moisture. There were crushed sweets on the floor on one side of the bed and someone’s odd sock on the shelf in the cupboard. There were three of us in the room, but only towels, robes and slippers for two. In the mini bar, the waters and alcohol bottles had their seals broken. None of the above acceptable for a four star hotel.

Liked: This hotel was perfectly located for our 3 day trip to Madrid. It is centrally located and within walking distance of restaurants, museums, bus and metro stations. The room was somewhat small, but the cleanliness of the room was exceptional. The bed was extremely comfortable, plus the bathroom was fully stocked with towels and shower products. The hotel staff were extremely polite and on our arrival we required an iron and ironing board. I requested this from reception, and both were promptly delivered to our room by staff. The main reason for our trip to Madrid was so that my son, who is a massive Real Madrid supporter could visit the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. I went to reception and asked the lady present the best option to travel to the stadium. Yaniéa ( I hope I've spelt the name correctly) went out of her way to draw the route on a map and circled the station that we needed to board and counted out the number of stops before we were due to get off for the Bernabéu. I thought this was very nice as she was aware that it was our 1st visit to Madrid and also it was very important to my 12 year old soccer fanatic son. All in all the staff were brilliant and on our last day one of the other receptionists who was working on the morning of the 4th July (I can't remember her name) made sure we were informed about our best travel option to return to the airport.... All in all, we can't wait to go back....
