Comfortable stay

Liked: Comfortable stay in a good location. We liked that it was close enough to the attraction but also close to a great park. We liked the area a lot.
Disliked: Room cleaning could be improved.

Great stay in comfortable hotel...

Liked: Stylish hotel in nice area of Bilbao by the river. You can walk everywhere from here. We got the connecting rooms which was perfect for a family of 4 with teenagers. The bathrooms were lovely and spacious and the beds were so comfy. Breakfast was great - smashed avocado, hummus, eggs, artisan bread all with lovely views over the park. Would recommend day trip to Guggenheim, Old Town, views from the top of the Funicular and a day out to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe where they filmed parts of Game of Thrones. Would recommend a city break in Bilbao and the Melia - but be sure to keep your possessions safe in your room. Pool was tiny and cold but gym and sauna were good.
Disliked: Unfortunately whilst we were there a bottle of men’s expensive aftershave went missing from the bathroom. Reading other reviews it seems that this is not a one off experience and has rather tainted our stay. You would expect more from a 5 star hotel.We liked the hotel but it felt 4 star not 5.

Liked: Location - walking distance to many places like Guggenheim museum, Marine museum etc.Breakfast - great choices incl fruit sectionSwimming pool - maybe not big but sufficient and with nice viewSize and comfort of the rooms
Disliked: Support of the reception staff - when asked i.e. about airport transfers said that hotel has none but also didn't offer ordering of a taxi
