Experience would have been better,...

Liked: Good location near restaurants
Disliked: Noisiest room ever (231), they probably give worst rooms to Bookings.com users. I won’t make this mistake again. The room was next to elevator, across for noisy ice machine, and right above the linens processing area with big loud bins being banged around. The room was described as “Originally booked room; Hearing accessible with tub,” but there wasn’t anything to advantage someone with a hearing impediment and there was no tub. The description essentially means “very noisy room.” The hotel sent me several offers to upgrade the room for $30 or more per night, and now I understand why.The rear entrance door for handicapped access supposedly open either room key card, but it’s disabled (front desk says it’s “under repair” but that’s not true. The room card key is difficult to use because there are slots above and below the actual card slot, so one really has to work to get the card in the right slot.Overnight parking is $33 (tax included). Getting out of the parking lot often requires calling the front desk (assuming one has the phone number!) because scanning the little slip of paper with a Q-code is very hard to scan and there are no instructions. The staff knows it’s a problem but they’re blind yo the problem and have no intention of fixing it. One has to wait with car ahead try’s to figure it, then backs up (I had to back up too) and parks. The secret is to hold the Q-code about 8 inches from the device rather than hold it up against the laser reader. A simple instruction would save a lot of grief. When walking to hotel restaurant for breakfast, both side of corridor were lined with employees get ready for work-day.When taking nearest elevator, one is usually sharing it with a hotel worker with big cleaning or supply cart. The elevator door is banged up and the corridor wall are scared from worker-cart impact, but management doesn’t care. It would be easy to send a detailer around to paint the dings and clean/repair the walls.

Location is good. Staff was...

Liked: They had free cookies and free water. The hotel is just a short uber to Venice Beach
Disliked: The staff was very rude. Especially in the bar. Majority of the time front desk only had 1 person working and they seemed overwhelemed. Breakfast was decent but the set up is so disorganized. The starbucks inside rarely had someone availble to assist. SIgn says to ask for the bartender to help and when I did he was rude and said he could only do coffee and tea. The bar had no Titos Vodka. We rented a Cabana at the pool and when we arrived nothing was ready. Had to go to the front desk for assistance. They then stocked the fridge with the water and soda and told us we could get our own towels. Could not get the TV in the cabana to work and it took the staff nearly an hour to figure it out. No one came to our cabana for service I had to go to the bar to order food. I mentioned we were in the cabanna and he said i could come back in about 10 min to get our food. The room we booked was a queen deluxe and thought it was a pool view room., it was a huge concrete wall with a small tiny view of a portion of the pool. Our air conditioner was making a very loud noise the first night. Told the front desk and they did have someone fix it. Being a Hilton rewards member and the price of this hotel I expected much better service, It was not up to par for a Hilton

Passable

Liked: The location is pretty good
Disliked: False advertising on booking.com the triple room does not come with a twin bed, a king bed and a sofa bed but with a king bed and a sofa bed that is twin size. So if you’re in 4 and they offer this room, it won’t be comfortable

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Ian Sun, 13 July 2025

Disappointing

Liked: Comfortable.
Disliked: DIscourteous Dining service by table staff for evening mealb but despite that we decided to try and extend stay by two days but it was full. So we booked the Marriott Bonvoy instead and it was head and shoulders above the Hilton in every way.
