Hotel Marena

Perfect base for a stay...

Liked: Excellent staff, very friendly and accommodating. Also great AC. Found to easy to get to all my tourist activities and back to Gare de L’Est when I was leaving, only about a 15 minute walk downhill.
Disliked: Fairly noisy hearing people come and go from their rooms. I woke up at midnight one of the nights, because it sounded like someone was trying to enter my room, but it was just the adjacent door.

Excellent restaurants around it, and...

Liked: The receptioist was excellent when we arrived and check out!
Disliked: I asked for the restraint recommendation near the hotel to the night shift staff but he didn’t know. Actually, there were a lot of excellent restaurants around this hotel! He should knew it! He suggesting us going to centre to get nice restaurants…

Liked: Fantastic value for money (hence 9/10).. Really friendly reception staff on arrival and great location for Gare Du Nord/Montmartre and easy walk into centre. Comfy bed, decent sized room for Paris, and will definitely book again when travelling to Paris on budget.
Disliked: Slightly noisy plumbing from other rooms

Liked: - the location - good hygene- staff is very kind- value for money
Disliked: - internet security is poor, their cyber security got in trouble and I was victim of phishing- deposit was not explained before I was charged, but after reservation I got the explanation

Super comfortable and brilliant location...

Liked: Lovely comfortable bed, air conditioning very welcome in hot weather. Staff polite and helpful, wonderful location very close to Rue de Martyrs which was probably our favourite street. Lovely local cafes, restaurants, patisseries etc. Overall ticked all the boxes.
Disliked: Nothing
