I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. If you are seeing a show at The Regency Ballroom, this is a perfect location within walking distance from the venue. I also loved the decor in the rooms. Very comfortable stay. We will certainly be booking another stay sometime this year.
Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Marjorie, Stockton, visiting The Fillmore San Francisco
Was kind of far from the Fillmore venue. Overall very decent stay and comfortable.
Liked: Beautiful and the arriving female hotel desk clerk made my stay welcoming and warm she was very nice.
Disliked: Smelled like body odor in the bed and the room was very warm and stuffy. The hotel desk clerk departing did not make me feel warm - he was kind of rude.
Susie, Sacramento
Liked: Close to Fillmore.
Disliked: No parking (not even valet); no air conditioning; holes in walls; hole stapled together in bathroom; stairs only from outside to elevators.

One of the cutest hotels ever. People are friendly, service is great. The bar and the restaurant is beautiful. Love the butterflies on the bar's wall. The room was very, very cute, and the bed was comfortable. Loved everything about it, highly recommended and for sure, I'll be back!
Liked: Pretty much everything.

Historical hotel
Liked: Everything about this hotel was great ,the furnishings from the early 1900,s felt like we were in a different time period .
Disliked: The chair in our suite was a little worn and didn't want to sit on it .

Good
Liked: Location.
Disliked: The TV did not work for the first night. No one could fix it until the next morning. When the front desk staff offered me another room, it was on a closed floor (4th floor) that was undergoing renovations.

Escaping the valley heat and...
Liked: I love the ambiance and staff in this Old World SF hotel originally built in 1902 as a private home and converted to a hotel in the 1904. It's my favorite SF hotel and is a very safe neighborhood. You must see it to believe it. The buffet breakfast is substantial including make your own waffles and scrambled eggs along with fruit, cereals and yogurt. The bartender is quite knowledgeable and offered to make me my own signature drink.
Disliked: We were bummed because they don't have the channel to broadcast the Giants game and the bar bites weren't very interesting. Which was okay because we ended up eating at Octavia around the corner which is a superb culinary experience! But don't take my word for it -- we sat next to the former food critic for the Chronicle celebrating a wedding anniversary. We had what she had - the Chefs 6 course dinner and it was amazing! Definitely a special treat and reasonably priced given the quality and service. I will be back to both the hotel and the restaurant
