Hotel Machiavelli Palace

Wonderful stay in the heart...

Liked: Loved the location, rooftop bar, friendly staff and clean room.
Disliked: The room is dated but for what we needed it for, we didn’t mind so much.

Hotel was well located for...

Liked: Location was good. Breakfast looked poor so we ate out which was a better option for us. Room was fine

Liked: The roof garden was very enjoyable with good staff and excellent views
Disliked: Breakfast looked mediocre so we chose to eat out. The room on our second stay was disappointing when compared to the one we had for our first visit.

Great views and outdoor area,...

Liked: The patio area and the roof top bar were amazing! They had amazing views you just couldn’t beat! It was also so close to the train station!
Disliked: The beds were super uncomfortable, we work up sore every day. They also only gave us 1 pillow that was completely flat, so our necks will take days to recover. The walls are paper thin, if you like hearing your neighbors headboard knock against the wall and all the fun sounds that come with that, this may be the place for you. We also had a small army of crickets that took up residence in our vents, great noise to fall asleep to, didn’t love worrying about if we’d wake up next to them. Our shower door was broken and the shower leaked. And the room overall was tiny with no storage space. If you brought a suitcase with you, just expect to be walking over it your entire stay.

Good for a couple of...

Liked: It was very close to the station and easy to locate. The staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: It was fairly ‘old’. The facilities were comfortable but needs a good paint job and renovate. The walls are also quite thin and you can hear the flushing from other bathrooms

Liked: Nice hotel in a good location.
Disliked: Wish breakfast would have been included in the price.

I got the worst room...

Liked: It's super convenient to the station. The rooftop bar is a nice touch. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: If they put you in 503 ask for a different room. It was next to what I can only assume was a staff room for the people working the rooftop bar and it was incredibly noisy, with loud conversations after midnight and slamming around at all hours. Got startled awake SEVERAL times. I can only assume it's a quirk of that room, so maybe a different room would be more relaxing. But, if the experience is always like this was, I wouldn't go back.
