Feels like a relic of...

Liked: The location of the property was terrific. Close to Point Charlie and the central sightseeing locations in Berlin. The bathroom was spacious. People working at the hotel were kind and receptive.
Disliked: After 19:00, there is no reception, and guests must use a back entrance. Upon arrival, we encountered other guests who hadn’t received their access code and couldn’t reach the owner—an issue particularly problematic for international travelers. The elevator was out of order (and apparently has been for a long time), forcing us to carry luggage and a baby stroller upstairs. Although the listing claimed a baby cot was available upon request and that children stay free, the cot incurred an unexpected extra fee. Due to a missed email (which went to spam) and lack of staff after 19:00, the cot was not delivered until we insisted—only to find it stained and dirty. Sound insulation was poor, and our baby was repeatedly disturbed by noise from adjacent rooms. Basic amenities such as a water heater were also missing. While I’ve stayed in worse places and am not overly demanding, this accommodation is not suitable for families.

Liked: Great location a few minutes walk from Checkpoint Charlie, bars, restaurants and shopping mall.Transport links are good too.Staff were helpful and parking is available right next to the property on a road with barrier security.Interesting mix of architecture in the area. Will use again.East to drive to.

Acceptable hotel for the budget...

Liked: We choose this hotel because of it's location and the fact that we could park there, for a fee. We knew it was a budget hotel so we weren't expecting a 5 star experience. We found we got what we paid for. We had a 2 bed apartment, with a shared bathroom between the 2 bedrooms. Our expectations was that it would be dated and acceptable and it was. I think if you are used to hostels, you will find this accommodation great, especially the location. If you are used to 4-5 star hotels, you will not enjoy this place. You will not get a 5 star experience on a 2 star budget here.We found the staff friendly and the information they provided helpful. Overall, we just wanted some where to sleep at night so didn't splurge here and we got what we paid for.

Nice and surprising positive place

Liked: Attitude and warmth welcome. The stuff was prepared for our arrival and everything was prepared in advance. The personel communicate in English, so it was very convenient for us. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, everything was clean and well maintained. The location of the property is perfect, city centre with close distance to nearby restaurants, shops and attractions. The price matches quality.
Disliked: Nothing, it was more than we have expected.

Liked: Great location, handy having the café downstairs. Comfortable bed and rooms were spacious. Bathroom was adequate.
Disliked: Room was poorly cleaned (bedside tables had large coffee spills inside draws and on shelves which were not cleaned from the last people) and the bathroom could be cleaner.
