Hotel Louisbourg

Overall our experience was positive...

Liked: The room was cosy, comfortable, clean and very quiet. Shower is small but the water pressure was great and the water was hot. Restaurant breakfast was tasty and delicious. Great coffee. Beautiful interior. I regret not coming back for dinner during our stay.
Disliked: No elevator! I have two full knee replacements. I should have read the hotel description more closely. I never once saw anyone from the hotel. Not sure if this was a plus or a minus. Maybe a minus if we had needed anything.

Liked: The location is fantastic in the old part of the city a few minutes walk from Chateau Frontenac.The breakfast in the adjacent cafe was very good, although it was not available on our first day.The hotel was clean.and quiet.
Disliked: Probably my fault as I booked an economy double room, that resembled a tiny attic room, it was up 5 flights of stairs. There is no proper reception with communications by notes and text or email messages. The lighting in the room was only partly working so was very poor.

Liked: Size of Room, Breakfast was excellent
Disliked: TV didn't work, the coffee machine didn't work. Plumbing hanging out of bath. Phone didn't work.

Liked: Size of the room was perfect for a couple. Was very close to all attractions, we walked everywhere.
Disliked: Reception not the most pleasant but checked us in without issue. We were early and when I said i messaged asking to get in early she accomodated, told us to come back in 30 minutes so the room could be cleaned. Walking into the building, the carpet lining the stairs looked like it's never been cleaned. Got to our room and the toilet seat is cracked in half, room looks like hasn't been cleaned. Visible dirt on the floors. Bathroom towels are makeup stained and not enough for 2 people. We were sharing towels..which is fine but very unexpected in a hotel. Water left in ice bucket from previous occupant, no coffee even though there is a coffee maker. Just 1 tea bag sitting beside coffee pot. Was very dissapointing when paying $400 for 2 nights.

Liked: Location and food was pleasant.
Disliked: Room was not really clean,there was bit of garbage under the bed.It was rainy,water was coming to our room. The stuff acted fast and we were transferred to another room.
