Value for money great location⁹

Liked: Dogs are allowed, simple breakfast availeble, lift available. Large windows which can open. Wide room entrance door. Fire safety was in place.
Disliked: Rooms are small but sufficient, some loose floorboarding, small flight of steps to reach lift (no wheelchair access) no aircon but fan provided.

Ok hotel without AC.

Liked: Location. Floor (No carpet). Lift.
Disliked: No AC. No refrigerator. No safety box. No kettle. Unfortunately, we hit the heat wave in Paris during our 3-day visit. The room faced a backyard with no direct sun, but the room's fan couldn't handle the 39-degree heat, so it was difficult to stay there and to sleep. The hotel had AC in the lobby, but it was difficult to be there, because a man was sawing and drilling there on these hot days. When asked why there wasn't AC in the rooms, we got the arrogant answer:'There are only 15/20 days per year, which are really hot .. It is the reason.'It is nice that the hotel cares about its staff, but that should also include its guests/customers. Many have saved all year to be able to have a much-needed and enjoyable vacation and deserve greater respect. Because without its hotel guests, the hotel will no longer exist.The hotel did offer us to cancel without a fee, but there were no hotels with AC available, so unfortunately that was not an option for us. The hotel was otherwise ok, but we won't take chances on 'the right kind of weather', so we will choose another hotel next time we come to Paris.
