It worked, but needs to...

Liked: Easy to reach. Cheap.
Disliked: For 30 grueling minutes I didn't know if I was going to spend the night outdoor or if I had to find another hotel. The self-check-in machine didn't recognize my booking number and wouldn't give me a card to open my room. The emergency phone number provided by the hotel was left unanswered and booking.com did not provide a phone number: I left a number of emails and messages to both hotel and bookin.com but I didn't seem to be reaching anybody. Eventually I did call the emergency number again and seemingly just by chance I managed to reach a human who was not particularly apologetic and suggested the apostrophy in my last name caused the check-in system to malfunction. He helped me through by providing a confirmation number I did not have until that point and that allowed me to get the card for my room.The wooden stairs of the place were very creaky as I went up, and I was worried I would wake up other people on them, or that other people would wak me up. But ultimately they did not prove a problem during the night. The room was smaller than I expected, with a particularly low ceiling over the bed: made me wonder if I'd bump my head against it at night. The place somehow didn't feel as clean as other places in the same price category. It has potential and character but it is too much of a random mishmash of old and new for me, and it feels, as a structure, it is not receiving as much investment as it deserves to really make the best of it. Could have been worse: the bed was comfortable, the shower was warm and ultimately the room did the job. But the uncertainty for the check-in is really unacceptable and generated quite a bit of anxiety in a moment toward the end of the day when all I wanted is to rest instead.

Disliked: Room height is very low. Very difficult to move.. Lift is so so slow, you can go faster through stairs.Nothing is nearby after 7pm, all shops are closed..The heater is available but not working, Very cold cannot sleep. the bed is not comfortable.Special type of power sockets. No converter to charge my phone, I go to the rail station in the evening to buy a converter.I booked for 2 nights, I held the sticker at door to clean my room but the cleaning was not done for the 2nd night.Coffee maker is available, but no coffee & milk....No drinking water.

Disliked: The rooms are extremley tiny the bathroom is bigger then the bedroom verry low sealing i hit my head in the sealing i think this places shouldnt be called rooms absolutley terrible and no heat in the night i freeze i totally dont recomment for the same price you can get so manny options i made a terrible mistake is the worst place i have ever stayed

Disliked: Horrible experience with this hotel. Tried to use self-check in terminal just to get an error message that no rooms is available. No one on site so had to call support to resolve the issue. After some miscommunication have been instructed to pick spare key from the box outside hotel. Finally get to my room... just to find out that it was a lower category room (standard vs booked and paid for superiour). Have to call again just to get a shrug: "that's the only room we have available". So a lot of hassle and involuntary room downgrade that hotel staff tried to hide until i forced the issue.

Comfortable stay in a great...

Liked: Location. Bakery adjacent was great for breakfast.
Disliked: I am not a fan of self check-in. The process was very very slow. If there had been any issues I would have preferred to be able to talk to someone immediately. We did have an issue with the safe in our room and I did get a response to my message sent on your site, but basically it was 'the safe doesn't work don't use it'.As seems to be the case in Switzerland the rooms were over hot. This hotel has probably the slowest lift ever!
