Budget friendly hotel in excellent...

Disliked: All perfectly adequate for what we paid

Pleasant once I got there...

Liked: Once I got there perfectly nice hotel, helpful staff
Disliked: The hotel is advertised as being a few steps from the train station. This is true, but the problem is if you’re coming from Paris, the train does not necessarily take you to this train station if you buy a ticket for Valence. My train took me to the main Valance station. I was told it’s easy to get a cab from the main road station to the town. Is that else where the hotel is. But it was not at all easy.

Friendly staff and central hotel

Liked: The staff at the Hotel les Negociants could not be kinder or more helpful. There is great bike storage, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is small and windowless but the breakfast is good value.
Disliked: Be sure to clarify if you have a shower or tub - we had a hand held shower only with no curtain or enclosure so it was a bit awkward. There are very few outlets in the room.
