Sweet "vintage" romantic hotel; gentle...

Liked: Great location, old "family run" hostel, the son of the lady founder is the manager, a very knowedgeable gentleman, always available; the park in front of the hotel is superb old trees, french garden, fish bassin

Great location, a short walk...

Liked: No catering, only tea/coffee in the room. Aix-en-Provence provided more than enough food opportunities.

Liked: The best part was Vanessa and her husband. They were amazing, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They offered us drinks and snacks when we arrived and they drove us to the station as we going to the rugby. Also, in the morning we had to get to Marseille to catch a bus to Toulouse and Vanessa's husband drove us back to station. Nothing was too much trouble for them, wonderful hosts
Disliked: Not much

Genuine and pretty. Nice vibe...

Liked: The French Man in charge was informative and super generous. After check out he let me leave my luggage at the hotel while I went out exploring. He ordered a taxi when I needed it after check out too. He definitely added to the authenticity of the hotel being just who he is. 🙌🏼
Disliked: Luckily it wasn’t too hot but an air conditioner or really just screens on the window to let the air in and keep the bees out.

Very good

Liked: I loved the vintage vibe of this place, it really felt like I stepped back in time. Gorgeous rooms and garden views, spooky dim hallway with antique chandeliers if you're into that kinda look. I found it delightful. The location is beautiful as well, next to a natural area but also connected to the city by a very short bus ride. Everything else was standard -- normal beds, bathroom, etc. I made my reservation a day in advance and they still accepted me.
Disliked: Be aware that they have poor connection with booking, the best way to get this hotel is to call them and make a reservation. The receptionist is a feisty older lady but she doesn't speak English -- have google translate on hand. Although the surroundings are gorgeous, it is at the edge of town (although there are frequent buses to the center). Unfortunately they have also stopped serving breakfast.
