Interesting place to stay due...

Liked: Breakfast excellent. Fig jam and brioche, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, toast, baguette ,croissants, tea and apple juice. Tour of building very good plus free access to roof space. I had a north facing room, so no sea view, but I sat on balcony for breakfast (and lunch) in cafe with uninterrupted panoramic view of the islands
Disliked: The room seemed to have been divided into two rooms (I'm not sure if this was the original plan or a later decision). The room itself seemed to have been designed to accommodate a single bed - the double was a tight squeeze. The lighting was awkward; I was unable to get the original light fittings to operate and had to shift the lamp around to produce lighting usable from the bed.

Architecture buff’s dream

Liked: A real privilege for an architecture enthusiast to stay in this historic building! There are only a small amount of rooms that make up the hotel section. It felt quite exclusive staying across from real residents. I enjoyed exploring the building and paid for breakfast to spend time in the dining area.
