Nice more affordable option.

Liked: Clean, great location just steps from Berri-Uqam station and very nice staff.
Disliked: Could have been a bit more A.C. Given the heat wave but comfortable enough.

It’s ok, about 2.5 km...

Liked: Room was small, as we expected, but super quaint. Clean, and everything we used was in working order. (Fridge, fan, tv) There is a cafe right in the lobby but we left before it opened, so I can’t offer information on that.
Disliked: When we checked in, we were told the staff had given our room away to someone who had a similar last name. They moved this person to another room and assured us that he hadn’t used anything. (I would have preferred they just give us another room.) when we went up to the room, there was a very strong scent of cologne. I think it was from the previous guest. But the room looked untouched otherwise. I asked about it as I have terrible allergies and sensitivity to fragrance. Front desk told me it was “something they used under the beds for cleaning(???).” I asked if they could turn the ac up so it would air out. He said it’s central air so to turn it up other guests might not like it and it would also be “a lot of trouble”. That was pretty disappointing to hear. When we returned to the room later in the evening, he told us he adjusted the AC, so the smell should be gone. I don’t think it really worked, I slept on top of the bedding with the fan next to me as it was very warm in the room overnight. And the cologne scent was still very much there. We got up at 6 am and left. The balcony (extra charge for a room with a balcony) was not something I would step out onto. Looked super unsafe, loose railing and an old clunky table out there. I would remove the notion of a balcony from the room options. Definitely regret paying extra for that!

Liked: Location was great.
Disliked: Really poor water pressure in the shower, like a trickle. No smoke alarm in the room. A lot of light coming in from the hallway at night. You could hear everyone quite loudly who was in the hallway, woke us up in the morning a couple of times. Over priced for what they offer.
