Hôtel La Chartreuse

Enjoyable stay overall

Liked: The Staff were Excellant and the Location of the Hotel was Excellant
Disliked: The Room was quite small and there could have been a better Choice for Breakfast. I appreciate that the Breakfast was Continental style but I feel that there could have been more choices particularly Cereals.

Conveniently located comfortable budget hotel.

Liked: The hotel is within a 5 minute walk to the train station as well as a bus stop that goes to the airport. The room was very small, but it was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Although you could clearly hear doors opening and closing and people talking in the hall, during sleeping hours it was quiet while I was there. They provided shampoo and a hairdryer. Continental breakfast with good coffee was available for €8.
Disliked: No coffee pot/ tea pot in the room. The TV was mounted very high on the wall so it was hard to watch from the low bed. The neighborhood wasn’t charming or nice but didn’t feel unsafe. There is no elevator and all the rooms are upstairs. Fortunately the front desk clerk carried my suitcase to the second floor.

Disliked: The area was a bit dodgy with several strip clubs and a tent camp of a homeless person opposite
