Does the job

Liked: Ok value for the money, room is small and a bit dated, but reasonably clean, good parking, and the receptionist spoke English. Clear policies written out and hung up on the wall of the room. I just stayed the night, so cannot comment on the facilities much.
Disliked: Breakfast is acceptable, but could be more interesting. For those who don't eat meat, the savory options boil down to boiled eggs, bread and yoghurt. I guess that's why they say "petit" déjeuner :D The coffee and croissants are decent though. Beds are indeed rather old and creaky, no big deal if you are by yourself, but couples might find it inconvenient. Floors are cold and one can hear a little street noise. Also you can only get into and out of the shower sideways because the sliding door is rather narrow and does not open all the way.

Liked: Super helpful receptionist. Funny and took the time to help me. Super clean.

Avoid if there is a...

Liked: The lady at the reception is fabulous-funny, helpful, caring. The breakfast was good: clementines, apples, fresh baguette and 2 croissants, plain yogurt, cheese individually wrapped for sanitation, some other fruit, orange/pineapple juice and good coffee.
Disliked: There was a wedding one night that lasted well into the next day with very drunk, abusive participants harassing hotel guests at breakfast and hotel staff doing nothing about it except providing them more alcohol.

Liked: typical, private French hotel, descend, calm rooms, good wifi, private parking, restaurants and the medieval city of Perouges close by, good French breakfast
Disliked: the bathroom needs some renovation

Liked: Well situated close to the medieval city of Perouges, good value for money, staff very welcoming and helpful .
Disliked: The breakfast was OK but not overwhelming (industrial cheese and ham rather than local products)
