I’ll be back!
Liked: Beautiful comfortable classy room, unique property. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Love the neighborhood.
Disliked: Stairs to room (Beautiful room) very steep and noisy. Slow service at restaurant but food was delicious, staff kind and bartender great. Breakfast is simple but so tasty.

Stylish and nice, just a...
Liked: The hotel is very modern and nice, designer furniture and hardware etc. Restaurant and bar are stylish and seem popular. We enjoyed reading the art books and magazines displayed at the restaurant during breakfast while sipping our morning coffee.
Disliked: We were surprised to be assigned to a different location and not at the main property. Offsite location is a few blocks away, has no elevator (had to drag luggage up 3rd floor),plenty of drinks in the refrigerator to seduce you and not offering water nor ice in the off site location. Aggressive dog barking from next door when we first arrived. Realized it was a “pet friendly” hotel.

Overpriced for the value received.
Liked: The room appointments were fun and original. Even the squeaky stairs were fun, providing one was able to climb them with baggage. Best of all Le Canard bistro was next door.
Disliked: The breakfast was a disappointment. Fresh coffee, cups, butter etc were hard to find. The bread was cut too thick for the toaster and a bread knife could not be found.

Good
Liked: Enjoyed the interior decoration
Disliked: Multiple buildings - no guarantee which one you'll be placed in until you check in. Continental breakfast could use work - would prefer some hot food options but still appreciated it! Cleaning could use some work - found some hairs from previous guests still lingering in the bedroom upon check-in.

Negative value for money!
Liked: Not much
Disliked: The breakfast was very basic, the room was in a remote building on the 3rd floor no elevator, parking was not next door. All in all I expected alot more for over $600 per night...

Comfortable room, great design in...
Liked: Spacious room in an architecturally interesting building. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We especially loved the renovated bathroom, big shower with multiple shower heads (my husband said it was the best shower of his life), and the well-lit closet space. We also enjoyed the breakfast-- good, simple food served in an elegant and quiet dining room. Great way to start the day.
Disliked: Tiny gripes: I wish they had robes in the rooms, and a few more drawers or other places to put things. There is a lack of convenient outlets in the room-- we had trouble finding places to plug things in.

Disappointing
Disliked: When arriving at reception I found I was being placed in an apartment block 4 blocks down the road. I arrived late and in the dark I struggled to find the block. I expressed I wanted a lower floor room and I was placed on the top floor, travelling for work with heavy bags caused some discomfort for me. I expressed I suffer from an illness which causes joint pain however I was not given options to have a lower floor room. Breakfast was a cold breakfast and for the price of the hotel I would have expected more choice and a cooked warm breakfast. No water available in apartment block other than buying from the mini bar. Cost outweighs the standard.

It was disappointing.
Liked: The staff was very nice and helpful.
Disliked: Apparently without our knowledge, we were “upgraded” to a luxury suite that had some weird little tub with a curtain surround. There was no way to get a good shower. On top of that, because we were “upgraded” without our knowledge, instead of the second floor room with a walk-in shower, we had a first floor room, right on the street. It was incredibly noisy with the bar next door emptying cans of bottles or something. If this was a hotel 8 that would be ok, but this was a pricey room.
